Looks like Redick is playing pretty well this preseason. So much it appears he’s got a real chance of earning (keeping) that playing time he’s missed.
Brian Schmitz over at the Orlando Sentinel has this observation.
“Van Gundy even went as far to say that Redick is executing “defensive principles” better right now than Bogans and rookie Courtney Lee. “Keith is still a better individual defender,” Van Gundy said. “J.J. makes fewer mistakes.”
Redick worked overtime all summer building muscle and trying to improve his quickness. It seems to have paid off. “
Well I’ve been meaning to start updating the site again and guess what?…Its about that time. Basketball season started a few weeks back, well, at least preseason, but thats enough to make me excited!
The downfall is I won’t get to see Redick play Saturday night but thats life. I’ll have to mark my calendar for the next one.
I’ve also upgraded our Wordpress blog to the latest and greatest and it brought back out links at the top. They previously disappeared early this year and I never had enough time to fixing them. Now I don’t have to as they’ve magically reappeared after the upgrade !
Special thanks to Cameron Crazie II for posting a few time over the last several months. I hope to start joining you once again!
JJ redick is confident that he will be in Orlando when the next season starts and will be getting playing time this season. He has realized that he just has to be patient and he will get playing time. Right now J is at Coach K’s fantasy camp where he will be coaching one of the teams. This is Redick’s second time working as a coach at Coach K’s fantasy camp.
Its true, as much as I like JJ, he won’t be the outstanding player he was in college. Everyone knows it, everyone talks about it. Its even worse when your coach never gives you chance to prove your worth to another NBA team. JJ will eventually play somewhere that will keep 10 points a night out of him consistently. It won’t be at Orlando. We all know it and so does JJ.
— . . . . . . . . . . . Sorry you UNC freaks, but neither will Hansbrough. He’s a great college player, there I said it. But I still hate him. I hate the fact everyone loves him. I hate the fact every announcer kisses his ass as if theres no tommorow. Newsflash!!!!!! There won’t be a tomorrow for Hansbrough. Just like JJ, theres no place in the NBA for Hansbrough. He’s too small to play with the big boys in the real world. He hustles……wait, did I say that, probably don’t have to because everyone thats on the tv lets us know. Guess what hustle equates to in the NBA? Nothing. Those days are gone. As much as the world wants to see a white boy hustle like Larry Bird hustled, Tyler won’t do it. Why? Because he won’t have the playing time to hustle. Just like JJ, he’ll be the punching bag in practice.

There you go UNC freaks. Bookmark my site, come back in a year. I’d love to hear your comments.
..that somebody finally spoke up about Duke’s season. Its been a miserable two years and it won’t get much better until we add some size. The Duke Basketball Report shut its forums down b/c of the ‘pissed’ off Duke fans yelling about their early exit.
I certainly hope so. The rivalry keeps getting better and better. UNC has taken it to the Heels in the wake of Duke lack of recruiting the past year or two. This year Duke got the upper hand in the first match up by taking advantage of Lawson who was out with a sprained ankle.
The chatter around the office has been extremely “pro UNC” where I work at. I’m not sure if they’re just full of confidence because Lawson is back or they’ve simply forgotten what happened the last game. Either way, I can say for sure, there has been a lot of UNC chants which would make a Duke victory that much sweeter.
What I Expect:
After Duke’s warmup game against Virginia, I am feeling a little better about their chances of winning. I was a bit leery as UNC has been playing some solid ball while Duke seemed to be taking a few steps back. I’m looking for a strong game from the Devils from behind the arc as we saw the first game. Solid double teaming of Hansbrough and making sure Lawson doesn’t get his way as he used to. Who knows if he’s even 100%.
It appears I’m not the only one thinking Hansbrough was flopping around last night. Here are a few referrers to the site today:
