Its true, as much as I like JJ, he won’t be the outstanding player he was in college. Everyone knows it, everyone talks about it. Its even worse when your coach never gives you chance to prove your worth to another NBA team. JJ will eventually play somewhere that will keep 10 points a night out of him consistently. It won’t be at Orlando. We all know it and so does JJ.

Sorry you UNC freaks, but neither will Hansbrough. He’s a great college player, there I said it. But I still hate him. I hate the fact everyone loves him. I hate the fact every announcer kisses his ass as if theres no tommorow. Newsflash!!!!!! There won’t be a tomorrow for Hansbrough. Just like JJ, theres no place in the NBA for Hansbrough. He’s too small to play with the big boys in the real world. He hustles……wait, did I say that, probably don’t have to because everyone thats on the tv lets us know. Guess what hustle equates to in the NBA? Nothing. Those days are gone. As much as the world wants to see a white boy hustle like Larry Bird hustled, Tyler won’t do it. Why? Because he won’t have the playing time to hustle. Just like JJ, he’ll be the punching bag in practice.

Get used to hearing about Tyler Hansbrough because you are going to have to hear about it all next year too when he comes back and beats you at least 2 more times. He’s going down as the greatest college player ever. When it is all said and done, he will be a 2-time POY, 4-time first team All-America, 4-time All-ACC first team, all-time ACC scoring/ft made/rebounding leader and national champion.
Anthony, did you read the post? Its not about college, its about the future. Just like JJ who lit up teams around the country, Tyler is the same. However, come graduation, he’ll amount to diddly squat.
Funny. All of the anti-UNC folks want to discuss what kind of potential NBA career Hansbrough might have as though (1) it is relevant to the current situation and (2) UNC fans really care.
It is moot discussion for me and for most UNC fans I know. The present focus is on trying to win a national title. When he ends up declaring for the draft then we can discuss what kind of career he might have. Until then it is a waste of time to broach the topic.
I love how UNC fans say it’s a waste of time to discuss Hansbrough’s fate in the NBA right now. That talking about it later is better. When JJ was in his senior year at Duke the UNC fans kept on talking about JJ and how he wouldn’t be anything in the NBA. So this question to you UNC fans what is the difference, the answer their isn’t any. When a player gets to his senior season then the talk about the NBA is going to happen no matter what you want.
I agree that Tyler will not be the star like he is now, but I do think that he will find a team that can use his skills to help their team. NBA teams like the kind of hustle that Tyler will bring with him. It will push all of those players around him to just play better.
I just hope that he gets to a team that can use him and use him correctly unlike what has happened to Redick.
Thanks for stopping by THF.
